Welcome to Monaghan Model Primary School website

We acknowledge parents as the primary educators of their children and believe that everyone benefits most when good communication and mutual respect exists between home and school. The Model School is a co-educational school under the Patronage of the Minister of Education & Skills. Currently we have 159 pupils on the roll between the ages of 4 and 12 and have a staff of eight teachers - 6 mainstream teachers and two Special Education Teachers.

Our school is essentially Christian in ethos catering mainly for children from Protestant denominations but other faiths are welcome. We endeavour to encourage a Christian set of moral beliefs, attitudes and practices.

At present we have two Special Needs Assistants, a part time caretaker, a part time cleaner and a secretary who is employed five days per week.

We are fortunate that we have a staff of dedicated and enthusiastic teachers whose aim is to provide a quality education for the children in their care. We expect our pupils to work hard, to enjoy school life and to adhere to school rules and practices.
